The sun shone, the horses ran well
And we all enjoyed our day at the races.
A new experience for several of us,
But we soon got the hang of placing a bet
And occasionally choosing a winner!
A few drinks to follow,
Along with a song or two in a Chester Pub.
Then onto our meal at Piccolino
